Stephanie Morse, M.Ed.

Stephanie Morse is a Splendora High School graduate from the class of 2002. After high school, she pursued a degree in elementary education from Sam Houston State University. Stephanie began her career as an educator in 2007 at Conroe ISD. In 2012, she returned to her roots to educate the students in Splendora ISD. She spent ten years as a classroom teacher, teaching first, second, and third grades. In 2015, Morse earned a master's degree in Educational Technology Leadership and Principal's Certification from Lamar University. She has been both an Instructional Specialist and Reading Specialist for SISD for the past several years. 

Additionally, Morse and her husband have been married since 2010. Together they have two daughters who both attend school at Splendora ISD. She feels blessed to be able to work in a district and community that helped make her the person she is today. Morse loves being able to work in a district that puts students' needs first and strives to "Cultivate Exceptional People."

Tamara Abke

 

Tamara Abke, M.Ed.

Tamara Abke graduated from Splendora High School in 1995. After graduating from Texas A&M in 1999 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, she began teaching at Leon ISD as a Kindergarten Reading Intervention teacher. Abke then moved on to teach 4th grade and later taught Pre-K at a private Christian school. She moved back home to Splendora in 2008, taught Reading RTI at Splendora Junior High, and later taught 6th-grade Math at both Greenleaf and SJH. After teaching for 13 years, Abke graduated from Texas A&M with a Master of Education in Educational Psychology. She served as a professional school counselor at Tarkington High School for four years before returning to serve the Peach Creek Elementary students and staff for the past two years.  

Abke is married to Shaun. They have two daughters, Gracie and Allie, who graduated from Splendora High School. They also have a son who attends Peach Creek Elementary as a 5th-grade student. In her spare time, Abke loves to cook, read books, and spend time with her family.

As an Assistant Principal at Timber Lakes Elementary, Abke is excited to bring her wealth of experience as a counselor and educator to the table. She is committed to meeting the needs of the students, families, and staff and is dedicated to making every day a great day to be a Wildcat!

Myra Kerscher

 

Myra Kerscher, M.Ed.

Myra Kerscher embarked on a transformative journey as a nontraditional student, returning to public education with a mission to impact the lives of young people, building on her extensive experience in youth ministry. In her eleventh year in education, Kerscher began her career in Aldine ISD, teaching ninth-grade math. She then advanced to Humble ISD, where she taught seventh- and eighth-grade math for three years. In July 2021, she transitioned to the role of assistant principal at Cleveland Middle School.

Throughout her career, Kerscher has been a dynamic force, driving change and advocating for her students. Her passion for innovation in education has propelled her to present at prestigious conferences such as TCCA, ISTE, and TASSP, where she shares her transformative ideas with fellow educators, inspiring them to push the boundaries of traditional education.
