What a great first week back from Fall Break! It was wonderful to see students and staff jump right back into the swing of things. Students returned ready to learn, and it has been exciting to see them engaged in their learning and confidently sharing the goals they have set for themselves.
The last week of October is packed with exciting events, including our 4th grade music program, Fall Family Night, Red Ribbon Week, our Food Drive, and Fall Parties. Remember, there will be no school for students on Friday! I am looking forward to a fun-filled week of celebrations, learning, and making special memories together.
As we enjoy all the festivities, please remind students to follow their class social contracts, demonstrate our campus expectations, and remember that learning is still our top priority! Let’s make it a great week at Timber Lakes!
Your Principal,
Stephanie Morse

Perfect Attendance = Pie the Principals! 🥧 During Friday’s Power Up, students with perfect attendance had their names entered into a wheel for a chance to pie Mrs. Morse and Mrs. Cruz! Several lucky students were selected to take their best shot, and our principals were great sports! Way to show up, Wildcats! 🐾 |
A few TLE Attendance Facts
- Our overall attendance percentage is 95.72% for the entire school year.
- We have 271 students with Perfect Attendance
- 528 students have a 95%-100% attendance rate
- Our most missed days of the week are Monday & Friday
Our attendance looks great! Thank you for helping ensure students come to school and are ready to learn.
Reminder: early pick-ups begin to add up when students miss out on instruction at the end of the day. Dismissal begins at 4:10, and students are still learning up to the end of the day.

🔴Students in grades 3-5 can participate.
⚪Students will compete in teams of up to 6 members to share their knowledge and understanding of the BOTB books.
🔵Students are encouraged to read as many books as they can from the reading list before the campus competition in December or January.

Our CKH Focus: Being Self-Directed
This week, our Capturing Kids’ Hearts focus is Being Self-Directed!
-
Recognize Our Feelings: It’s okay to feel mad, sad, nervous, or frustrated. Sharing our feelings with someone we trust can help us understand them.
-
Practice Coping Skills: Deep breathing, taking a break, positive self-talk, and asking for help can help us calm down and get back on track.
-
Make Positive Choices: We may not always control how we feel, but we can learn to choose how we respond.
-
Build Confidence: Recognizing our strengths, learning from mistakes, and working through challenges help us develop self-esteem and believe in ourselves.
Family Connection: Encourage your child to talk openly about their feelings and practice coping strategies when emotions become overwhelming. Remind them that asking for help is a sign of strength and that every challenge is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build confidence!
